Reverse birthday rule

Reverse birthday rule

"Go ahead, make a wish.
But DON'T tell anyone what you wished for or it won't come true!"
That is 100% wrong.
The exact opposite is true.

The more people who know your wish, the more likely it is to happen.

You’re forced to articulate it, bring it a step closer into the world from the “idea vapor” in your brain.

Don’t go from zero to 100.

It's like starting a campfire.

At first you protect it, can’t let too many ppl mess around with it, or it'll die. Once you got a small spark going, you slowly add some small twigs, sticks, larger branches, finally logs.

So next time you make a wish, write it down.

Invite others into your wish.
Share it with a trusted person or two. “You know if I could do anything, if I wasn’t afraid, I’d start my own coffee shop”.

They’ll ask you questions, support you and start pulling the grains of truth out of this wish.

There's no guarantee it'll come true, but you will get to know yourself and people around you better.
Think about it, your wish is more likely to happen if you share it with someone.
If you keep it in your own head there's near 0% it'll happen.

Give it a try, let me know how it went.

Also important PSA:

You don't need to wait for your birthday, shooting star, fallen eye-lash or any other cosmis event to make a wish.

Challenge

In the coming week either write down a wish you have. Get curious about it, ask yourself and write questions about it.
Flush it out a bit.

Don't have a wish?

Ask yourself what would you do if you weren't afraid. Money wasn't an issue, success wasn't an issue, what others think wasn't an issue.
Now what would you do? Grow flowers? Build spaceships?

Bonus points: Share with 1-2 people your wish, have a real conversation about it.
